Frequently asked questions

Does changing the speed also change the pitch?

Yes — like adjusting the speed of a cassette tape or a turntable, speeding up raises the pitch and slowing down lowers it. This tool doesn’t do pitch-preserving time-stretching, which needs more advanced processing.

How much can I speed up or slow down a file?

Anywhere from 0.5x (half speed) to 2x (double speed).

Is my audio file uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is decoded, resampled, and exported entirely in your browser — it never leaves your device.
