Live preview at the new volume before exporting
Warns you if a boost will clip the audio
100% private — processed locally, never uploaded

Upload an audio file, drag the slider to boost or reduce its volume, preview the change live, and export the result — useful for a recording that came out too quiet, or a clip that’s uncomfortably loud.

Everything happens locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. Your audio file is never uploaded anywhere.

How to use

  1. Upload an audio file

Pick any audio file your browser can play.

  2. Adjust the volume

Drag the slider and preview the result — 100% is the original volume.

  3. Export the result

Download the boosted (or reduced) audio as WAV or MP3.

Frequently asked questions

What does the clipping warning mean?

Audio samples can only go so loud before they hit the format's maximum and get flattened ("clipped"), which sounds harsh and distorted. If your chosen boost would push the loudest parts of the file past that ceiling, this tool warns you before you export — try a lower percentage if that happens.

Will boosting the volume reduce audio quality?

A moderate boost with no clipping keeps quality intact — you're only scaling the existing waveform. A large boost that clips will distort the loudest peaks; if you need much more volume without distortion, consider a dedicated audio compressor/limiter tool instead.

Is my audio file uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is decoded, adjusted, and exported entirely in your browser — it never leaves your device.
