Key features
Click “Start Recording” and allow microphone access when your browser asks. Recording stops when you press Stop, and you can then play it back or download it — no software to install.
The recording stays on your device the whole time. It’s captured directly from your microphone using the browser’s built-in MediaRecorder API and is never uploaded anywhere.

Frequently asked questions
Is my recording uploaded anywhere?
No. Audio is captured and saved entirely in your browser using the MediaRecorder API — it never leaves your device unless you choose to download and share it yourself.
What file format is the recording?
It depends on your browser — most browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) record to WebM/Opus, while Safari typically records to MP4/AAC. The download uses whichever format your browser produced.
Why is my microphone not working?
Make sure you allowed microphone access when your browser prompted you — check the site permissions in your browser's address bar if you accidentally denied it. Voice recording also requires a secure (https) connection.
