The short version
Every tool on Tool Library runs entirely in your browser. Text you type, files you open, and anything a tool generates stays on your device. It is never uploaded to, or stored on, our servers, because our tools don't have a server-side component to send it to. The one narrow exception is the speed test, which by nature has to send traffic somewhere to measure your connection (see the "Speed test" section below).
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider and any analytics or advertising services we use may automatically log standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, for security, performance, and to understand how the site is used in aggregate. This is not linked to your identity.
Speed test
The speed test tool measures your connection against Cloudflare's public speed-test network, since accurately measuring upload speed requires a server on the other end to receive data, something no purely client-side page can provide on its own. This means test traffic (but nothing else on this site) is sent to Cloudflare, the same way any site you visit sees your request. We've disabled the results-logging step that library normally performs, so no summary of your results is submitted or stored anywhere by us or by Cloudflare.
Cookies and advertising
This site is supported by ads served through Google AdSense, and that's what keeps every tool here free to use. If you're visiting from the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, a consent message from Google's consent management platform will ask for your permission before any advertising cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time from that same message. Everywhere else, you can opt out of personalized advertising throughGoogle's Ads Settings oraboutads.info.
Local storage
One small preference, whether you prefer dark mode, is saved in your browser's local storage, not as a cookie and not on our server. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted anywhere, and is only ever read by this site in your own browser.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
