Frequently asked questions

Do all the files need to be the same format?

No — each file is decoded independently, so you can mix MP3, WAV, M4A, and OGG files freely; they’re all combined into one output file.

What if the files have different sample rates or channel counts?

They’re automatically converted to match during merging — mono clips are duplicated to both channels when mixed with stereo ones, and everything is resampled to a consistent rate.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Files are decoded and combined entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API — nothing is sent to a server.
