A slow connection is easy to suspect and hard to prove. This speed test measures how fast your device can actually push and pull data over the network right now, plus how long each request takes to get a response (latency) and how much that varies (jitter), so you have real numbers before you call your ISP or blame the Wi‑Fi. Your ISP, IP address, and approximate location are detected automatically as soon as the page loads, so you know exactly whose connection you’re testing.

Everything runs in your browser. Measuring upload speed needs something on the other end to receive the data — no page can do that alone — so instead of running our own server, this tool measures against Cloudflare’s free public speed-test network, the same infrastructure behind speed.cloudflare.com. The results-logging step that library normally performs is switched off, so no summary of your test is ever submitted or stored anywhere.

How to use

  1. Start the test

Click "Start Test". Latency is measured first, then download throughput fully, then upload throughput fully.

  2. See your connection

Your ISP, IPv4 address, and approximate location appear below the dial, detected automatically.

  3. Review your results

Ping, jitter, download, and upload all appear below, with a quality rating for streaming, gaming, and video calls.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is this speed test?

It measures real download and upload throughput plus round-trip latency and jitter against Cloudflare’s global edge network — the same measurement engine that powers speed.cloudflare.com — so results reflect your actual connection. Results can vary between runs depending on network conditions, Wi-Fi signal, and how many other devices are using your connection at the time.

How is upload speed measured without this site having a server?

Measuring upload requires something on the other end to receive the data — no purely client-side page can do that alone. Rather than run our own server, this tool uses Cloudflare’s free, public speed-test network (the same infrastructure behind speed.cloudflare.com) directly from your browser.

Where does the ISP and location info come from?

Your IPv4 address comes from ipify.org, and the ISP name and approximate location come from a separate lookup against ipwho.is — both free, no-account services. Both run automatically when the page loads, independently of the speed measurement itself.

Does this test collect or store any data about me?

Test requests necessarily travel to Cloudflare’s edge (and the connection lookup to ipify.org and ipwho.is) to be measured, the same way any site you visit sees your request — that’s unavoidable for any real speed test. We’ve explicitly disabled the results-logging step the underlying library normally performs, so no summary of your results is submitted or aggregated anywhere. Nothing is sent to a server we run, and nothing is stored.
