Frequently asked questions
How is the monthly payment calculated?
This uses the standard amortizing-loan formula: M = P × r(1+r)ⁿ / ((1+r)ⁿ − 1), where P is the loan amount, r is the monthly interest rate (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100), and n is the number of monthly payments. It assumes a fixed rate and equal monthly payments, like most auto loans, personal loans, and standard mortgages.
Does this include taxes, insurance, or fees?
No — this calculates principal and interest only. Real loans, especially mortgages, often include property taxes, insurance, and lender fees on top of this, so your actual payment may be higher.
Is my loan information saved anywhere?
No. Every number you enter is used only to calculate the result locally in your browser — nothing is stored or transmitted.
