Accessibility Checker

Paste HTML source and catch common accessibility issues before you ship.

Paste some HTML to check it.

Key features

Checks images, forms, links, and headings
Flags missing alt text and unlabeled fields
Runs through an inert parser, so nothing you paste executes
HTML never leaves your device

Paste HTML source and this scans it for common accessibility problems: missing image alt text, form fields without labels, empty buttons or links, skipped heading levels, and duplicate IDs. It’s a quick local sanity check, not a full WCAG audit. Parsing happens entirely in your browser using an inert, script-free HTML parser, so nothing is sent anywhere and nothing you paste ever executes.

How to use

  1. Paste HTML source

A full page or just a fragment — view-source, an exported component, an email template.

  2. Read the findings

Issues update as you type, split into errors (real problems) and warnings (worth a look).

Frequently asked questions

Is this a full WCAG audit?

No. It's a fast local sanity check covering the most common, most impactful issues (missing alt text, unlabeled form fields, empty links/buttons, skipped heading levels, duplicate IDs). A full audit needs a real screen reader and manual review; tools like axe or Lighthouse go much deeper.

Is the HTML I paste executed?

No. It's parsed with the browser's built-in DOMParser into a document that's never inserted into the page — any <script> tags or event handlers inside it never run.

Why was a heading-order warning shown even though my headings look fine?

This flags any jump of more than one level in document order — like an H2 followed directly by an H4. That's usually unintentional, but if the surrounding structure genuinely calls for it, the warning is safe to ignore.
