Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Nothing ever leaves your device, no matter how many images you add.
Will converting to JPEG lose quality?
Yes, slightly. JPEG uses lossy compression, so converting a PNG with sharp edges or transparency to JPEG can introduce minor artifacts and will fill transparent areas with white. PNG and WebP (in lossless areas) preserve transparency.
I actually need to reduce file size, not just change format — what should I use?
